- Story: My name is Chris Cariaso and I am from the San Francisco bay area. I am 26 years old and have been involved in fight sports since the age of 5. I had my first muay thai fight at the young age of 11. I currently reside in Oakland, California with my girlfriend and one newborn son.
I turned pro in muay thai in 2005 and made the transition to pro mma in 2006. I take training and fighting very seriously, as this is my life. I eat, sleep, and breathe the fight sport. I will not stop until I reach my goal of becoming a world champion. Three years ago, at the age of 23, I opened Fight and Fitness gym in downtown San Francisco (www.fightandfitness.com) alongside my long time trainer, legendary world muay thai champion Bunkerd Faphimai. I run the business aspect of the gym, teach classes and train many private students. Fight and Fitness gym currently has a dedicated stable of up and coming professional and amateur fighters. We have approximately 400 loyal members and continue to grow.
What excites my fan base is my fast and aggressive muay thai style. I have knocked out opponents with leg kicks, knees, and head kicks. My jiu jitsu game is getting better all the time and I am surprising my opponents my taking them down and dominating from the top position.
